About This Project
My first documentary project began when the NGO Des Sourires Pour le Togo asked me to create a film about their annual project trip to Togo. Each year, their team travels to the country for several weeks to review past initiatives, explore potential new projects, and most importantly, reconnect with the local communities they work with. These visits are a vital part of their mission.
It was my first project of this scale. I received several hundred gigabytes of raw footage with the simple instruction: “Create a film from this.” To truly understand the journey behind the images, I conducted interviews with the volunteers who participated in the trip. Their personal experiences and reflections became the foundation of the narrative, allowing me to shape the material into a cohesive story that captures both the purpose of the mission and the human connections at its core.
